The final day of running on Friday will see Jules Bianchi behind the wheel of the VJM06. Having spent 2012 as the team’s third driver, Jules will be able to provide the team’s engineers with further comparison feedback between last year’s car and the VJM06.Jules Bianchi, the name which might bring cheaper Ferrari engines to Force India for 2014, becomes the only name associated with the second Force India seat, to take part in pre-season testing.
Jules gets the whole day to himself behind the wheel. The question is whether this is a ploy by Force India to win Ferrari over or whether we can take it as a signal of intent. Upon asking Force India if Jules would be taking a seat in Barcelona I was told that the driving schedule for Barcelona had yet to be decided.
